I’m so excited to share these photographs from Jessica’s bridal shower! As the maid of honor, I had the privilege of hosting this special day for my older sister. Being the artsy person I am, I was super excited to put all my arts and crafts skills to good use! From the door decor, chalk board count down, heart strings backdrop, favors, hand-sewn burlap sash, mason jars, to the cupcake toppers, I put my heart into everything that went into this day! We held the shower at our mothers home for an intimate feel. We set up a few tables and topped them with beautiful flower center pieces that were made by DeeDee (bridesmaid) and by special request from the bride, we catered in Chipotle for lunch.

For shower favors, I found these adorable chocolate scented candles that look like actual chocolate pieces in heart shapes and smell amazing. I added a tag that said “Love is Sweet” and handed those out to everyone as they left. 

After lunch we began to play some traditional bridal shower games. My favorite was the toilet paper wedding dress game! I think it was pretty obvious who won that game. The next game I planned was a “help the bride write her vows” mad lib, which turned out great and pretty funny! Then the last game we played was our version of the “Newlywed game.” I had written up about 20 questions, either about the groom, bride or their relationship and asked the groom for his answers ahead of time. Jessica was to then answer the questions to match the grooms answers. All our guests went around and picked a number of correct answers they thought Jessica would match the grooms answers. Who ever guessed the right number, won a prize.

After the games, we indulged in some yummy red velvet cupcakes from “Gramma’s Bakery.” I added my own touch to the cupcakes by making the hearts on a stick and placing some plastic diamond rings on top. After dessert we all sat around and watched Jessica open up all her awesome gifts. Overall, the shower turned out amazing and everyone had a great time!
